Lake Country HDO Foam Pad - 3.5 in.

Built for long-throw polishers. Lake Country HDO (Heavy Duty Orbital) pads are engineered for long-stroke dual-action machines like the Rupes LHR series and Griot's BOSS, where ordinary foam overheats and fatigues.

What Makes HDO Different

• Dual-layer foam cuts lateral movement, reducing internal friction and heat buildup so the foam lasts longer
• Open-cell center cooling chamber vents heat out of the middle of the pad, where it normally builds
• 70 degree tapered bevel prevents pad rolling on contours, keeping the face flat on the panel
• Runs roughly 10 percent cooler than comparable foam — heat is what causes hazing and micro-marring
• Reinforced backing that survives the throw of large-stroke machines

Choosing a Grade

• Blue — Heavy Polishing. The most aggressive foam in the HDO line. Moderate to heavy defect correction while still finishing clean. Pair with a compound.
• Orange — Polishing. The most versatile HDO pad. Handles light to heavy imperfections. Cuts on soft paint, finishes to gloss on hard paint. Pair with a medium polish.
• Black — Finishing. Ultra-soft, no cut. Jeweling, final polishing, and applying sealants or waxes without introducing marring.

The 3.5 in. HDO is the spot-correction tool: pillars, mirrors, bumper contours, door handles, spoilers, and anywhere a 5 or 6 in. pad cannot sit flat. Run the three grades in sequence — Blue to correct, Orange to refine, Black to finish.
